About the Role:

We are currently seeking experienced dog behaviorists and trainers to join our team in various capacities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of canine behavior, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Your role will involve a mix of:
One-on-one dog training sessions: Working directly with dogs and their owners to address specific behavioral issues such as aggression, anxiety, separation anxiety, leash pulling, and house training.
Group classes: Facilitating group training sessions for puppies and adult dogs, covering topics such as basic obedience, socialization, and advanced commands.
Behavioral assessments: Conducting thorough assessments of dogs' behavior to identify underlying issues and develop customized training plans.
Client consultations: Providing advice and support to clients on a variety of dog-related topics, including nutrition, health, and overall well-being.
Maintaining accurate client records: Keeping detailed records of training sessions, client interactions, and progress made.
Marketing and outreach: Potentially contributing to marketing initiatives to promote the center's services within the Kunming community.

Responsibilities may also include:
Collaborating with veterinary professionals to address behavioral issues related to medical conditions.
Participating in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on the latest techniques and research in canine behavior.
Maintaining a clean and safe training environment.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all dogs in your care.


Qualifications:
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a certified dog trainer or behaviorist.
A strong understanding of positive reinforcement training methods.
Experience handling dogs of various breeds and temperaments, including those with behavioral challenges.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese (Mandarin is highly preferred).
Valid driver's license (preferred, but not mandatory depending on the role).
Certification from a reputable dog training organization (e.g., Karen Pryor Academy, Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers) is highly desirable.
